Registering to vote
To register in Chickasaw County you must be a United States citizen, at least 18 years old by the next general election, and a resident of the county for at least 30 days before the election. You can register in person at either courthouse, or by mail using the Mississippi mail-in registration form. Bring a Mississippi driver's license or the last four digits of your Social Security number.
Absentee voting
Mississippi requires a qualifying reason to vote absentee, such as being away from the county on election day, being 65 or older, or having a temporary or permanent disability. In-office absentee voting is available during regular office hours in the weeks before an election; call to confirm the exact dates for the current election cycle.
Jury duty
If you have received a jury summons, follow the reporting instructions printed on it. Call the Circuit Clerk's office if you need to request an excuse or a postponement.
